We're on the last day!! BJC was at capacity already at 7 this morning!

Luckily we are factored into the attendance even when we are not there.

Jordan was a bit grumpy this morning so I went on stage alone with the music therapy group and sang along.

Right now were sitting tight for family hour prep...

The wish program is happening right now, and there is a guest DJ, one of the kids.

The dancers are about to play a matching game.

And two line dances, first is girls only ewwww

The boys ended up winning this, seccond time "in history"!!!

Sometime after 5pm

Mike Eileen and I went on an adventure.

We ran around to the back area. Went to the south annex, got a pic with one I the girls from the (tennis?) team. Got a pretzel.

We did a video blog on YouTube, and did the water social. We were on stage "dancing" then chugged water lol.


7:--PM...

Sooo, mail call was coming up shortly, and Jordan fell asleep! lol, that kid I swear. He was sleeping even in our arms in all that noise on the floor!!

We ended up leaving around 7:30/8-ish. We went to dinner, waiting for everyone to regroup we sat in the family lounge, I talked with a couple parents.

We went to dinner, and went back to the room to unwind. Today was a pretty fun day, the energy in the BJC is super max, OMG, I am  a little scared for tomorrow!

I do feel bad though. I wish we could have stayed there longer, and spent more time on the floor with Mike and Colleen. I feel this year we spent more time running around than with them.

If you two read this later, please know I really do wish we spent more time on the floor with you! Tomorrow (with the exceptions of us being in the show in the morning) I personally will make sure I am with you guys as much as possible!

I don't think you guys really know how much it means that you are doing this!

Stay strong and finish strong! You can do it!

Oh wow, it is sooo different from last year. It is not as over whelming but it is something to come into that place, the BJC, and feel the energy!

Man I am tired, being up since 6ishAM, and being there  till 1AM and up even now!

I still feel the energy! Glad to see some familiar faces.

There were a few faces we did not see, and it saddens me to say it too. But it puts things into perspective, when you see that other kids, even your own child are still doing well and everything is done for them (and those no longer with us).

There is nothing to compare to THON that I can imagine!

Check out the Live Stream to get a glimpse, but nothing can top being there your self!! YOu may see me there too in the bottom right, that is where we are hanging with our Bee House crew.

Another year in the bag

Not sure why this DID NOT POST... grr well better late than never

Well it's that time of year again.....
Mistletoe-ing, the Christmas songs getting super annoying to us retail workers, cold-then nice-then cold, threats of snow and coal.

About a week and now going in two years since Jordan's diagnosis.

I still remember that drive out and up.

Today is another clinic day. It's going to be a Long one.... Spinal tap and the IV-IG.... Fun.

Today were also giving a gift to the child life department, a little tykes itykes.


So we just got done with the spinal tap about 15 min ago..... We got here on time at 930 too, of course the one time were on time, they're running behind.....ugghhhh

T-minus one week

That's right, next week on Friday February 15th THON 2013 begins! What is THON you ask?

THON is a 46 hour dance marathon culminating each year of fundraising by Penn State university Students to benefit the Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State-Hershey Medical Center.

The Four Diamonds Fund helps with many aspects of the search for the cure for pediatric cancer patients and their families. It covers things like picking up the tab of where insurance leaves off, to Music Therapy, and most recently, helping to fund the new 207 MILLION DOLLAR Children's Hospital, set to open Spring of 2013!

From the THON Home page: Welcome to THON.org, the online home of the largest student-run philanthropy in the world!  The Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, affectionately known as THON, is a yearlong effort to raise funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer.  Since 1977, THON has raised more than $89 million for the Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital.  THON 2013 will take place from February 15th-17th, 2013 at Penn State's Bryce Jordan Center.  We are excited to have you join us as we continue to make strides to find a cure.

Last year there were some who had doubts and questions on how things would turn out, but despite everything the grand total exceeded all exceptions  and once again set a record!

$10,686,924.83 FTK!!! Thats right, despite it all everything worked out and pulled through because no matter how you look at it it was all done for the kids!
